Dear friends,
I have a couple of doubts in programming Mx 3000

1. How we can declare an integer variable (only bool variable is possible)?
2. How we can check a variable's status in Press time mode?
3. Can i add more than 2 state for a button?

with regards,

Mathew George

1. MX-3000 only supports boolean variables. Upon booting the MX-3000, all variables are set to zero (0).

On my personal MX-3000, I have solved this problem by making my start-up page a greeting with a Start button. I touch the Start button on that page, which initializes my variables, including one variable I set to make sure I'll never see the Start page again (unless I re-download to the remote).

2. Buttons are either press-time or variable mode, but not both. However, it's possible to nest these functions by aliasing one button to another, which achieves the same effect. The key is to keep a hidden page with the extra buttons you need to produce your nesting.

3. Buttons can only have two states. Again however, if you're persistent, you can build a transparent button that uses nesting to perform multiple functions. Part of those functions can be to display and hide non-functioning buttons that appear behind the transparent, which produces the illusion that the button you're pressing actually has multiple graphical states.

Best regards,
Dale
