I'm working with Vista 32bit and MX-850 Editor Ver 1.12.270. I cannot do a Live Update. Error message displays "Cannot Save Patch File"

What can I do?

Is your software capable of performing the live update? Only software that a dealer has added is capable of doing live updates.

The current version is 1.12.290. The version that you have was released in October 2006. There have been several updates of the ir database and bug fixes. Talk to your dealer.

I just updated my MX-850 editor and there was no problem with the download.

If you are going to do the job...why not do it the right way?

Well here's what happens. On my XP machine, i can do a live update just fine. But on my Vista laptop, I cannot. Its the same exe files that I used to install. Looks like a Vista issue ... I think. Anyone out there with Vista having the same problem??

Run as administrator.

If you don't know how to do that, right-click on the desktop icon when you open the MXEditor and select "Run as administrator".
