Is this even possible....to copy devices or device pages from one configuration and paste into another? I spent some time doing fav. channel macros and I wanted to be able to use those exact pages on another project now. The device being controlled on the new project uses the same IR code set and everything.
Now that I think about it I have only done this w/ Pronto, not URC.

If it is another 980, then you could save the file under a different name, then delete out what devices you don't need and then add the new ones in. That would save your fav channel macros.

What I'm actually trying to do is add a second sat receiver to one remote config. using the same pages I made for the first receiver and use IR routing. I was able to copy/ paste those pages just fine within the project.....but it didn't work.... When it copied, the macros and button origins ALSO copied, in verbatim, so when I press a fav for the second receiver - even though the device is assigned a different IR output - it outputs the macros to the original receiver because the actions in the window are still labeled for the original receiver. I didn't really want to have to go through and redo all of them...I might as well start over.

You can do this to do this by declaring a UI Variable, true for one receiver and false for the other or if more than two, set up UI variables for the locations from which you call the (common) channel logos. Then create a hidden or phantom device maybe called say "Virtual SAT Receiver" or just “Channel Logos” with all the channel logos and sat receiver number aliases setup within this phantom device. You setup each channel log once. Indeed you will need to make separate alias calls within a particular channel button for receivers that are physically not the same, but these calls will be under the same channel logo so finding and editing in the future will be easier. You use the UI Variables for the call locations to jump back to the location from which you called the channel logos and selecting the proper set of number aliases within a particular “Channel Logo” button.
I did this for my HT system that has five activities (not devices) that all use channel logos. Each of the physical receivers is called from two (or three) different activities and the two different physical receivers use different channel call numbers. None-the-less they are all located under the virtual device called “Channel Logos”. When “Channel Logos” is needed I jump to the first page from the calling location after setting to true this call location. This call location also denotes which set of channel numbers to call for the proper receiver within the common channel button under "Channel Logos" vritual device. Each channel logo then will then conditionally call the proper number sequence for the call location that is set to true. When done the call locations are all set back to false after jumping back to where the “Channel Logos” were called.
Seems like a lot of work but it’s actually less and when my cable provider (Verizon Fios) changes channel numbers (as they constantly do) I only need to go to one place to make the changes and all calls to that channel will be correct. And anyway the code is much more pleasing to my esthetic senses. It is not “spaghetti” code but code organized and reused by function.
I hope this description is understandable. Forgive I fear it’s a bit redundant.

Thank you kindly for your ideas. I was able to accomplish it by saving my fav's as a reference file. Then I just imported the device twice under two different names...."Mom's TV" and "Andrew's TV." I know, DUH!
Anyone is welcome to the file just let me know.....I used universal delays and and nearly every DirecTV channel is included with graphics supported by the Expansion Pack. They work great.
