Hello,

I recently purchased the Sony BDP-S550 Blu-Ray player and connected it to my Denon AVR3300 via the 6 channel analog inputs. Everything is controlled via an MX 850. All components work fine when controlled individually. The problem comes in when I switch from Blu-Ray back to HDTV. I cannot seem to get the audio to switch properly from EXT IN to AUTO, since there is no AUTO button the remote. Any ideas ?

Thanks

His BDP is connected to the 6 channel in.

"Auto" is not the input. It's either the surround field setting or the input MODE, meaning the receiver is set to automatically pick between optical or coax digital input types.

I am assuming your HDTV is connected to the Denon via optical/toslink..... so as long as you haven't reassigned the inputs in the Denon setup menu, you should just be able press the input button for TV, DVD, SAT, or whatever.....whatever it says next to the hole you plugged it into.
