ok, i answered my own question about updating the firmware. here is the main problem. it will work some of the things in the lcd menu. the biggest fault is at no point can i ever access the main menu of the actuall blue ray. (where you select movie, extras ect.)

whether its hard button or lcd.

The panasonic has 3 menus. Top Menu, Sub Menu, and Pop-Up Menu. All three do something different depending on the disc. I have a MX900 file with all 3.

could you elaborate a little? it has 4 pages of lcd commands on the remote.

if you are talking about the actuall player. i cant access any menus, exclusively the main one. (where you pick scenes, play movie, extras ect.)

ok, thanks xm2go. i got the original remote out. fig. out how the menus work ect. learned it to my mx900. now im good as gold. thanks :)
