I am having a control problem that I can't figure out. I have a distributed system that uses multiple mx-980's, msc-400 and a mx-3000 for a dedicated theater room. Here is my problem: I am having a problem with sporadic multiple inputs when using the navigation buttons on the mx-3000 to control an escient player through 232. The escient control works perfectly with the mx-980's, when testing through the msc-400 and when testing the command through the mx-3000 editor.
I am aware of the repeat issue with the msc-400 and 232 components. All remotes have been setup to issue a single command if pressed for < 1 sec and to repeat if pushed for > 1 sec. All functions work well with the exception of the single command for the mx-3000.
As you can imagine this problem is pretty brutal when using a devise like the escient that relies on a navigation interface.
Does anyone have any ideas on any adjustment that can be made to help with this issue? I assume the repeat values only apply to IR commands.
Thanks,
Jamie

Just a guess, but it sounds like it is configured to repeat in the msc400 smart macro.
Highlight the specific command/smart macro in the msc400 config, it should show it in the macro window. Double click on the rs232 command in the macro window and make sure "repeat while button is pressed" is unchecked....
I wish they'd fix this PITA bug..... You'd think this serious of a bug in their high end control system would be a priority......
