I have my Setup almost finished except for one thing, and I'm hoping someone can help me figure it out. My Mx-980 works on everything except when I'm using my dish or xbox360, and I want to watch my bluray, it turns off my tv, and I can't figure out why, I'm hoping another set of eyes can catch my problem. I'm uploading my mx-980 file on this website in the files section, anyhelp would be great

Sounds like the problem is with using a toggle power or power off command from the TV in your activity macro. Here's a test...activate an activity macro with the set on, it turns the TV off right? Activate same macro again. Does the TV turn back on? If yes you are using a toggle power command, if not you are using an off command when you should be using an on command.

What brand TV? Your set may or may not have discrete power functions. Report back with the above.

Also, uploading your file (especially in an unfinished and non-working fashion) to this site isn't recommended and it may take some time for Daniel to post it anyway.

i dont use variables like that, so my simpletons advise, given your TV, would be to use discrete power commands and remove that variable altogether... variables can get out of wack if s/one turns on/off a device manually or whatever, so if you have discretes, use them.

Stealth is correct, variables are helpful (sometimes) if you don't have discretes. Since you do, use them. You have something else going on if it's turning off when it should be turning on, i.e. sometimes the IR DB will place toggle power on both the hard buttons for power on and off, but place discrete power in the lcd commands, go directly to your tv page, check the commands and see which ones work. If none, try another code set with discretes, many are the same for Pioneer.
