I never program a remote control and I now need one I have yamaha rx-v1000 and A-30 receivers, panasonic dmp-bd55 blu ray, cable box, sat box, pioneer pdp 6020 tv and am looking for a pvr I have 6 remotes to work with now thanks for your help

Have you considered the MX-900? That is my favorite all around remote. Easy to program and is close to the price of the 810 and 850.
The 810 can be a real pain to program....very quirky with the wizard programmer.
The 850 is based on an older platform of remotes by URC.
That is why I would recommend the 900 or if you have a little more in the budget look at the 880. It combines the best features of the 900 with the color display of the 810.

Thanks dave I'll get the 880. I can use the ir mode now and get the additional rf acc later

The 880 is a good choice. In fact, it has become my favorite remote in URC's lineup. That honor used to belong to the 900, but the 880 has better ergonomics and a color screen to boot.
