looking for some insight. I am using a universal mx3000. All IR functions operate my samsung 1080p dvd fine, RF functions are unresponsive. The emmiter works fine and the unit is programmed for RF operation only..any help wouild be appreciated.

Things right off the top of my head that you may doublecheck

IR emmitter too close or far away from sensor (both can be detrimental)

RF setup to address the correct emmitter (Samsung on Emmitter 1, Receiver on 2, yada yada)

Actual Infrared codes spot on. Might be "close enough" for IR but not for RF to IR

Bad reception on RF..light blinks but maybe not passes a clean enough signal. (Does the emmitter lights blink even when you're not pushing buttons or not blink everytime you push buttons?) Too close to a hard drive based DVR comes to mind on this one.

It's not the component, Samsung in my experience has a good IR design.

Just some thoughts to ponder. I'm not a pro, just a DIY'er with this forum alone to find my own answers as well.
