Many thanks for help. I have MX-980i and base station MRF-350i. For the Antenna, is the "power LED" supposed to show at all times - mine does not show. If it is supposed to glow red as shown in instruction book, then how do I turn the antenna ON?

The antenna power led should be on all the time when plugged in. Make sure it's firmly plugged into the MRF-350 base station RF In port with the supplied cable, and that the base station is powered up.

Thanks. I checked the plugs but still no Power On LED at Antenna (but Base Station Power On LED is on). Any other ideas?

As info for future individuals with this problem - strange as it seems, I accidentally got the Power ON LED to work by pulling the plug OUT partially - I guess it was not making contact when inserted completely.

That sounds like an intermittent problem waiting to happen.
If you're certain you're using the right wire (it's a stereo 1/8" cable, pretty long, ~15ft or so), I'd try a different cable, and if that's not it, return the unit as defective.
