Hello,
I am having trouble controlling a scientific atlantic cable box with and MX-350. It as no issues sending the commands IR, but when I route them RF in the 250 base station they work 1/20 button presses. I programmed my personal mx 850 and it controlled the box RF with no issues. Has anyone ran into a similar situation with the 350.
thanks

I've never done an MX-350, that's learning IR or codeset only, correct? As in you can't program via a PC? Did you manually learn the cable box commands or are you using a codeset? With the PC programmable remotes it's important to ensure that a learned command does not reside on the button with a database command. If that is happening it will produce results like you are having. I'd completely wipe that device clear and start over.
Also, FYI you may have to mess around with emitter placement and output level. You also need to ensure you have ZERO interference while on ID ZERO and then change the ID to something else on the base and programming.
Is it possible you don't have the cable box set to RF only and that the 1/20th of the time it works it's actually getting IR into the device?
