Hi Everyone,

I'm glad I found this sight. I was originally going to buy a Harmony 890 but in my research, I learned about the Universal Remote products.

I was about to order a RF20/Blaster package but found a brief mention that there can be a problem with the IR blaster communicating with the SA 8300. I have the Brighthouse SA8300HDC DVR.

I'm going to be using the remote for a Panasonic plasma, the SA8300HDC and an Oppo DVD player.

Another thread mentioned that the MRF-260 base should be used with the 8300.

I think for my simple set up, the RF20 would be more than enough as long as it has all the DVR functions.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

The MRF-260 has 2 fixed and 2 Variable IR Outputs
You may need the variable outputs to control the SA 8300HD
