I am having trouble programming the TUNER keypad values (1..10). The values are not in the pre-programmed database. I also checked the database for other Pioneer Receivers. The URC remote will only learn 3 of the codes from the Pioneer remote. I went to the Pioneer site for the IR codes and I get "A" numbers and "Hex" numbers which don't seem useful to me. So, 3 questions. Is there a way to translate the "A" numbers from Pioneer into frequencies? Is there somewhere else where you can get the frequencies? Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Thanks.

Which remote are you programming?
Which function do you need the numbers for? They will be different for Tuner, XM, or Sirius.
For each of those functions recent models are all the same. You should be able to use the VSX-94 or 84 commands that are in the URC database. The SC-09 was recently added to the database so you may need to perform a "Live Update" if you haven't already.
With some URC models you can copy and paste the Pronto Hex from Pioneer's lists. You will need to learn how to use the hex function in the URC editting software however.

The remote is the MX-3000. I have used the LIVE UPDATE, that's how I got the SC09 codes. I thought that was closest to the SC05. But, there are no TUNER keypad codes. I also looked at the VSX-94 -- nothing there...

I did find the TUNER keypad Pronto HEX codes on the Pioneer site, but couldn't get them to work - I'll have to try that again. You just paste them into the Hex Editor and use the drag tool to place them onto a button - right? Thanks.

I solved my problem! :-)

I looked through the many Pioneer Receiver codes and experimented with "VSX09 - Tuner Only" It's all working just fine. Just wanted to pass on the good news.

Also, as I reread the manual, the answer was kinda there. On page 29 in the callout, it says, "if you don't see the model you're looking for, try another one."

The hex codes are tricky. Single codes seem to work more often than the double codes (AA3D + AA1C).
I don't work for support but I do work for Pioneer. I load the web site and work with control files as the "extra" part of my job.
