WOW, it's not often someone breaks out the 15th century Italian politician name calling so I decided to check out the posts over at AVS...sure seems like the same person, exact same equipment list, exact same scenario, exact same questions and answers. I don't need to go any further, it's the same person and now added to the do not help list.

smoke, wtf are you doing over there ?!!?! :-)

whoops....busted :>/

Honestly, it was Stanley and all the political crap for the past couple months that made start to really surf AVS. For a while, all it was here, was political and religious bashing. It got real tiring...

Some of the stuff said over there makes me want to bash my head against a wall, but really, it's kinda entertaining at times.

you really the guy on AVS trying to make
sure everyone downloads URC's software illegally.

Not that it makes a difference to me either way, but I'm going to do my good deed for the day and say that he really didn't suggest downloading anything illegally.

He posted asking about the current firmware was for the MSC, after stating what version he was using.

Then came back and posted how he got the info on google, three hours later.

Quoted from AVS: edited with "xxx"
What is the current version of the MSC editor software? I have 1.50, but it
says "beta" in the title, so I wanted to make sure it was the latest and greatest.

all you have to do is google "mscxxx.xxx" , or whatevermodelnumberxxx.xxx

I wouldn't out him yet. Seems honest enough.

Agreed. I plan to pick up the remote from an authorized dealer. I am not hosting nor distributing any files. I am sure you can google "photoshop CS3" and pick up that too.

That plus any other software you want to get your hands on even Crestron and AMX. I see posts all the time when someone asks about buying crestron on ebay about how they are going to program it without the software.

If someone is sufficiently motivated to try and program a Crestron system, finding the software is usually the simplest part. Doesn't make it right, it just makes it reality.

I've seen some of those DIY Crestron jobs...not pretty. T&M is our best friend when walking into that ticking time bomb.
