I have a couple of Sony DVD Changers that require null serial cables for RS232 control. I'm assuming URC cables for the MSC-400 are straight thru cables.....so to control a Sony Changer I'm guessing I would need to attach a null serial adapter to the MSC-400 cable.?

Am I correct and does anyone have any experience doing this?

Thanks,
John

Yes, if your device requires null modem to communicate then that's the route to take. Null adaptors can be found just about anywhere or if you want to get down and dirty you could chop it and reverse the TX and RX.

We get ours from MCM. Or search for "DB-9 Null", choose the proper gender on each side and you're good to go.
