When I put a press and hold macro on my On and Off buttons and my LCD device buttons, I can hold until the commands start sending, then release.

Strangely, when I put a press and hold macro on a couple of my hard labeled buttons - "10+" and "enter" - I have to hold for the designated time, then release to get the commands to emit. Even if I hold the button for 10 seconds, nothing happens until I release. It's surprising and annoying, since it requires me to guess whether I've been holding long enough.

Am I missing something? Is this controlled by a software setting? Is it an unpublished feature? Is it a defect in my remote?

Could you please explain 'a couple'? Only those buttons? If you move those commands to other hard buttons does the same thing happen? If so, I'd look at the IR database itself rather then the remote control hardware.

I just tried this out. Must admit I've never put press and hold macros on any buttons other than those related to the LCD.

Anyway, they both respond the same, i.e. the delayed macro executes while holding the button for the set time interval and will continue to execute after the button is released if need be. This is how it should work.

Editor version 1.10.137
Firmware 1.60
IR DB 1.86

FYI, if you are using press/hold macros on the buttons other than LCD, after the time interval has elapsed on the press/hold the lower portion of the screen will show the key you have pressed, indicating the macro has begun.
