Those shades can evidently be controlled via IR and RF. I'm not familiar with the line and don't have specific knowledge about the shade control model you have...but are you sure the shade is not in RF only mode (if there is such a thing) and that the IR emitter on the shade is hooked up properly and can be controlled via the OEM IR remote? If there is a way to disable RF control that would be a good way to test if the OEM remote works via IR.
Also, are you using an RF kit (mrf-260/350 or msc-400) with the URC remote or just trying to control the shade line of sight via IR?

I have the shades set on I.R. and the hunter remote works fine but the URC just can't seem to operate it even line of sight. I have to return to the customers house for other adjustments I am going to try a press and hold command I just did not know if anyone had any other suggestions. The shade itself is not that great and it own remote does not work that well.

Thanks for the help tweeterguy, the shades were an after thought that the customers installed themselves. Was not even wired for it, as it was a pretty inexpensive job and I did not think they were going to go the power shade route. I ended up leaving the mx out of the shade control.
Lesson learned, next time quote my own shades no matter what.
Thanks again.

What I've found with shades is that many times the IR codes are not normal IR codes. They are raw data without the carrier. As I understand it many remotes can not deal with this type of IR, therefore they can not learn the code and even if they seem to learn it, it will not work.
