I am trying to set up a Press and Hold for the MX-980 and it does not seem to be working correctly.

I want the first press to activate a particular device and holding it for more than 1 second should activate a second device.

When I press the button it activates the correct device and while holding it down for more than 1 second nothing happens until I release the button then the second device activates.

I have set this exact same press and hold on the MX-950 with no problems. It seems to be easier to setup on the MX-950

The "If Statement looks" like this:

Alias (Pioneer PDP-5070HD/Power On)
IF (Press Time >=1 second)
Alias (Yamaha RX-v3300/Power On)
Else ---------------------------------
---------------------------------------

I tried moving the commands around and could not get it to work correctly

This sounds like it's working to me. You were expecting it to activate the second device after the 1 second and prior to the release? I guess I can understand that (esp if the other remote works that way), but is that really a big deal?

The first press turns on TV

Another press of more than 1 second turns on the Receiver
