Hi guys:
I've been learning the 980 and so far like it a lot.
With help here I programmed it to have a if off key is held for 3 seconds, then execute an "all off" routine else jump to my "off screen" where I have independent buttons for each devices off command.
Is there a way to have that off screen "timeout" and return to where you were last, if a selection isn't made in some time?
When I power off, that's the last window selected, so when I pick the remote up, it's not on the default watch page. I want to ensure I don't have that extra press watch keystroke.
Thanks! Scott

make the last command in your "off" macro a "jump to" main page 1, just add desired delay before the last jump to

Thanks. That will work if one does the "press and hold" and executed the macro. But not if they accidentally don't hold long enough and get directed to the "off" screen.
Anyone done any tricks to "loop" with macros? If I had a looping construct (do while, or even a simple "goto") I could do it with variables (ability to have a counter would be nice too).

I basically keep 2 sets of "devices". One set is the "raw" device, all buttons work as if it were a remote that came in the box with that device. I access these "raw" devices from page 2 (or 3 if necess.) of watch.
My other "devices" are more activity oriented. "Watch DVD" device sets up the remote to auto-on all the correct componets (PJ, scaler, DVD, Prepro, amp, Sub), and make the buttons do the correct respective things related to watching DVD's. Aspect control (via scaler) volume (via prepro), play (via dvd), etc.
But for the "easy OFF button", A press and hold "Off" will start an all-off macro.
On those activity based "devices" I have on, or off (single press , not old) direct the user to a "ON device" or "Off device" page where I have the on's and off's of each device listed. There a user can selectively control on and off in one place. Easier that hunting around each dedicated device to turn things on/off. IMO.
It's from these pages I'd like to "auto-return" if no device off button is pressed. There ought to be clever way to do it, but I haven't found one, yet.
