I am looking for the device codes for a Comcast Custom DVR remote (3 device on demand version).
My MX 850 will not learn certain keys, I have tried all the tricks. (with/with out computer, different distances, etc.) Also downloaded software again for updated database, no luck.
I am hoping someone out there has am .mxd file they can send me.
Thanks.
Don't want to send remote to URC

Is there a model # for this device? Motorola or SA?

Sorry, I should have included that,
Its an SA Explorer 8500 digital home communications terminal (cable box/dvr) model: Explorer RNG200. Its part of that Cisco/Comcast merger.
I tried the 8300 codes, but no luck.

I tried the 8300 codes, but no luck. URC has the RNG200 codes in their database. Look under Cable/SA/OCAP Models.

I tried all the SA codes in the database. no luck. I downloaded the software before I started, so I am pretty sure I have the most up to date database.

Did you download the software by entering your serial number and getting the consumer version, or did you download it from the URC dealer page? The consumer version is a couple updates behind, and the dealer version may not be the most recent one that you downloaded. If you have the dealer version, do a live update.

It was the consumer version. I would go back to the dealer you bought the MX850 from, and ask for a copy of the file, nicely.

Is there a way for you guys to extract the hex codes for this device? I'm having problems with my Pronto - even though it learns the remote's commands, the unit will not accept them.

Do you still need the codes? Send me your email and I can send you the Comcast codes for you to upload that have the RNG200. I just used it and it works fine. You can contact customer support at UR and they will give you the website and password to download the newer software which has an update feature that the consumer version doesn't

I downloaded the updated version from UniversalRemote (not the consumer version). It has most commands for the Cisco RNG200, however I am having trouble with the following functions: PIP - on/off PIP - CH -
I tried the learn mode, which it said was successful, but they still don't work. I was able to use the learn mode on the other PIP functions.
I talked to support at UniversalRemote. They told me that since I had the updated version, my only hope was to try and get the Pronto hex codes on this site or on the cisco site. Once I got those, they could help me insert them.
Anyone know how to get the pronto codes?
