Success! I ordered a black kit to match all my equipment and cabinetry and it was blocking the IR. Or doing something to stop it.

Now I just need to figure out how to put it back on and make sure its not blocking the eye.

God well that was harder then configuring the entire remote. I finally noticed the window and how it worked to receive IR, apperantly whoever made my black cover did not look into it.

Basically the IR window was drilled in and went all the way back to a sensor in back of the xbox.

So after an hour of difficulty I finally got the IR window loose and moulded it onto my cover.

Thank god now i can leave you guys alone, everythings working.

Only question now is should I get the rf base, things work 95 percent of the time, but I wonder if the rf will make it work 100 percent.

What does that 5% not do? Maybe we can help you with it...

Actually its working all the time pretty much, just dont like to speak in absolutes, the IR range is great.

I actually had to go to the original face plate, the IR window is red, take it apart somehow. I noticed my black case did not have a red window, it was just black plastic. I also noticed the red ir window had a peice of the red glass behind it that went all the way to the ir sensor in the back of the xbox.

Long story short I somehow removed it without damaging any of the red glass or peice that leads to the back of the IR sensor, and molded it onto my black plate.

Works perfect. Now all thats left is for the PS3 IR sensor to be in stock, then im done once i get that.

Go in your main menu, then tune up, then select solve automated activity problems, then edit the off button.

Make sure all of your devices are selected to OFF

Try that out any see if it works.

The remote uses variables that tracks what devices are powered on.

If you manually deleted the step to turn on a device within an activity macro and instead added an execute command for power then the remote will believe that the device is still off.
