My MX-950 went stupid. The remote was working fine. I placed it on the charger went out adn upon coming back the guide, 8, and 0 key were not working. I reloaded the remote and now several other keys do not work including the watch button. I have not determined every button that is broken but these seem to be enough.
The remote did work fine. It does have the latest firmware. Iv pressed the reset button and have removed the battery for an hour. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Or hopefully someone has seen this.

Both of mine started to do the dead button thing. I ended up sending them back to URC for repair but URC said since the remote is discontinued they might have to replace them with the 980 model if they couldn't be repaired. Haven't heard from URC yet on the status.

I'm assuming you are talking about 950 remotes that are still under warranty? The fast forward button went out on my 950 a few months ago and the warranty ran out a long time ago. I suspect the cost of a factory repair would be impractical. Please let us know about the cost of a factory repair if it is possible.
Altough I bought my 950 from an authorized dealer, I'm not allowed to buy a new 980 from him because of URC's new 200 mile limit purchasing restrictions. Consequently, looks like my next remote will be from another company.
