Unfortunately (as you are learning) the 810 is a limited and challenging remote to 'customize' due to the software. Trick number one is to learn in the codes you want to use from your oem remotes rather then messing with multiple databases and then try to create the pages you want using 1 device. If there are specific codes that you want to use that your oem remote doesnt have getting an inexpensive learning remote to work with can be very helpful (and MUCH easier then the copy and paste recommended)...that said there is another trick where by you create your primary control profile (file), save it, email it to yourself...download and save under a different name; open it add all the random devices you want to it, save it and close it. open the other file and use the universal browser feature and open the 'other-demo/extra device' file and drag and drop codes to the button location (or macro areas) you want.

and spend the next 10days fighting with it. otherwise I'd recommend seeing if you can still return it and upgrade to the 880 or 980 and pay for programming (or negotiate to where the seller will give you a copy of the software to program it). You'll thank yourself a little bit in the short run, emensly in the long run.

Also note that once you set up devices...you need to do it all over again for the activities as the lcd pages are mostly independant.
