I am swapping out some Sony receivers at a clients home. They previously had STR-DA3300ES and STR-DA4300ES receivers. I am swapping them out for 3400ES and 4400ES receivers. All the serial commands in their system controller seem to work correctly other than the AM/FM presets. In the main system controller these were called using the following structure:

02, 04, a1, 42, 01, 01, 17 (For Preset A1)

After looking at the Sony RS-232 protocol manual I'm not sure this was the correct way to do this but it worked with the old receivers. I think the issue lies with the fact that these receivers do not use the A 0-9, B 0-9, C 0-9 presets like the older Sony receivers. These now have 30 presets for each tuner. I have tried modifying the hex to reflect what I believe needs to be done according to the protocol spec but there is no example for the BAND bank type only the SHIFT bank type.

If any one has any thougts please let me know.

I have tried the following:
2, 4, A1, 42, 10, 01, 08
