I have an RS-232 document for EX-Link also. When i was testing the commands a couple years ago i wasnt able to get the TV to turn ON with RS-232, all the other commands worked perfectly.

Later, after dealing with a Sharp LCD that had energy saver settings i learned that turning off energy saving would allow the The ON command to work. The TV ignores RS-232 commands (unless its already ON) when in energy saving mode. I havent been back to test the samsungs yet so i dont know if my theory is correct or not.

Do you know if the ON command that you have will bring it out of standby? Do you have one that you can test?
