I received the Harmony Adapter, and the power off macro is definitely not stored on-board. Which is probably a safety feature, in case it needs to be changed in the future (I'm actually surprised that Logitech wasn't able to get Sony to add a proper shutdown command - I'm sure they pull some weight).
