Pioneer usually has codes in three different forms:

1) A concise hex format: usually two or four two-digit hex numbers.

2) Pronto Hex: A long string of four digit hex numbers in which the first is always "0000".

3) A CCF file.

If you found the first, look around to see if you can find one of the others. If you can't find one of the others, post some examples of the codes you found and I'll tell you how to convert to Pronto Hex using MakeHex.exe and/or I'll give you the URL of a CCF file containing the same signals.

If you found the second, but got the error you described, you did the copy/paste wrong. You need the whole long string of 4 character hex values, no more and no less.

If you had found the third, you wouldn't need ProntoEdit.
