I'm not sure if this will work or is even possible, since I don't own an 810 but is there a way to send a "play" command to the HD-DVD player during the power off sequence? I ask since regular DVD players will power on when "play" is pressed. This way even if the HD-DVD is off, it will turn on (with the "play" command) and then power off with the "power" command during the "power off" macro. It's an old trick for DVD players without descrete "on" and "off" commands. Worth a try if possible. Hope it helps.
