To be honest you should be using a comp with a serial
port! When I first starting programming 850's for my company
I was using the usb the serial adaptor and it sucked!!!
I would go to jobs hours away from shop and not be able
to upload because I could not get the stupid cable to
work! After a few long trips of wasted time and money
the company finally bought be a new comp with a seral
port!!
Actually based on today's technology (and last years and the year before's) URC SHOULD get into "TODAY" and provide a USB cable for their remotes. I am fortunate in the latest notebook I got was a few months ago and it has a 9 pin serial port. Most computers DO NOT come with serial (try and find a parallel port!!!) ports any more.
