They are totally different remotes, and it depends on what you want. The MX-3000 is a color touchscreen remote. The MX-950 is a non-LCD touchscreen.
EDIT: I see the "one-handed" part. Go for the 950 then. A touchscreen is awfully tough to use with one hand.
