I am seeking feedback for help on selecting a new home theater remote. Currently I am using my Pronto, but would like to update it since it's now a few years old.

First, I should state that custom programming does NOT matter as my background is in computer programming. I have done custom remote programming before and have downloaded and/or used first hand most software. The only thing I have NOT done is Crestron programming.

I prefer to do my own programming since I have a rather elaborate home theater setup with lots of equipment and a motorized screen for my front projector. Doing macros is not a problem either as I have done the ones I use now for my Pronto. My new remote must be color, have a very good screen, software to customize and most important custom macro programming.

Second, I will NOT use a custom programmer as I am the only one that knows what I like and I want to tweak it myself and do all the work. So I need to be able to buy it from some place that will sell that way. I know the MX-3000 can be had at several sites online, but I would be willing to buy from a dealer IF they don't have a problem doing it yourself.

Here is my list narrowed down to:

NevoSL

New Philips Pronto 9600

MX-3000

Out of those 3, I am having a hard time deciding on which one to get and all the pros/cons. If anyone owns them or has advice it would be appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback.
