After carefully analyzing our current forum structure, I realized that there was no single place where a shopper could post asking for advice on multiple remote controls.

They could cross-post in different on-topic forums (something I do not recommend) for remotes that they may already be favoring, but if someone needed a helping hand to get started from square one... well, there was only the Home Theater or Other Remotes forums, neither of which were originally intended for that function.

So, here it is - the ever-so-clearly named "Which Remote Should I Buy" forum, a place for everyone to post asking for recommendations on a universal remote that will suit their needs, and for all other members that would like to help guide them to the perfect control.

When posting, remember that you'll greatly assist anyone trying to help by providing a list of your current AV equipment, exactly what you would like or expect your new remote to do, and how much you want to spend.
