the iPronto is more comparable to the new Tablet PC's that use Window XP Tablet and 802b wireless connectivity- many are slightly larger: they sell for about $1500.00-$2000.00: I think Microsoft is working on a remote control program for Tablet PC
but the iPronto is here now and optomized for use as a remote, and has a powerful IR output - all integrated and it works (with issues as a new product which I expect will be addressed)
even the Pronto Pro is overpriced in my opinion, but it is very popular
