I think you can have hope. I had the same problem with a few buttons I copy/pasted and then learned. I found this fix: upload it to the editor. add a new IR code after the learned code and set the function different with every button. then delete this IR code. download and ... it works! seems iProntoEdit remembers the function after you erase the code...
