Personally, I'd love to get an IPronto...but the $1000 price tag prevents that from ever happening. For my next remote I need a bigger screen than the current Pronto models offer. That's why I am considering a tablet PC with Remote software. You can get a used tablet for $300-800 and software for $30 that will give you all of the features of an Ipronto....and even some the Ipronto doesn't offer.

It uses the same CCF file types as the other pronto remotes, can operate an HTPC via TCP/IP with a wireless card, can run Windows software, surf the net, and more. This is my ideal solution, though I think that setup would be alot less user friendly than simply buying the Ipronto.
