Personally, I'd love to get an IPronto...but the $1000 price tag prevents that from ever happening. For my next remote I need a bigger screen than the current Pronto models offer. That's why I am considering a tablet PC with Remote software. You can get a used tablet for $300-800 and software for $30 that will give you all of the features of an Ipronto....and even some the Ipronto doesn't offer.

Take a look at Promixis' NetRemote at www.promixis.com

I'd love to run this on a 8" or 10" tablet PC. It uses the same CCF file types as the other pronto remotes, can operate an HTPC via TCP/IP with a wireless card, can run Windows software, surf the net, and more. This is my ideal solution, though I think that setup would be alot less user friendly than simply buying the Ipronto.
