A solution could be to hang on to your "B" access point when you upgrade to a "G" network. Set the G to G-only, place your "B" AP in your network as well, and the Ipronto will chat with your B, not effecting the "G" speed.
Of course, in an ideal world Philips announces a firmware upgrade from B to G cards ...
