Should also be possible to do similar with a PC, "girder" and a girder supported IR receiver ... haven't got round to setting time aside for learning Girder but it seems to be a hugely powerfull (read as "at first completely unfathomable") tool. I have bought it as I intend to use it to provide serial port control of my Pioneer AX10iS amp and Sharp LC32GA4E LCD TV.
