I see no likelihood of a replacement for iPronto for quite some time to be honest, so if your only reason for holding on is for a next version then I'd say don't bother. It took me a little while to get used to the iPronrto, and at first I wasn't convinced. One of my major gripes has been resolved though, increasing it's flexibility for me. Now, I wouldn't choose to be without it. It's fantastic. The big screen and excellent graphics combined with the large onboard memory make it a dream to customise. No more squeezing little tiny buttons onto the screen in desperate effort to fit all the functions you want on there! I would truly recommend it to anyone. My only caution would be to check what it can do now and if that fits in with your system, then great. Don't buy it in the hopes that they may add some extra functions later, as they may not. Ignore any advertising that talk about things being activated in later upgrades. I'm not saying they won't be activated, but they may not. And even if they are it could be a long way off.

But this is a very sexy remote! It is very flexible, as long as your system isn't too advanced (RS232, RF devices etc), and is very easy to use. I had a huge number of crashes in the early days, but it almost never happens now with the latest firmware upgrades. Oh, and everyone who comes round comments on it!

Hope this helps. Good idea to ask. Don't rush into it! :)
