To switch a HR20, start by programming code 00003 to either
AV1 or AV2 device on the white remote, switch back to
the dtv symbol device and enter the menu:
1. menu> settings> setup> remote> receiver mode>
2. you will see either DIRECTV or AV1/AV2, click whichever
to reveal both
3. press AV1/AV2, the remote won't work any longer, switch
to av1 or av2 whichever has code 00003
4. press done
To switch the H20 just substitute in code 00002 for 00003.
Urgent help Needed. My remote does not work now. I followed step 1 but did not read the instructions carefully enough. I did not start by programming code 0003 to either AV1 or AV2. Can this be done now or am I SOL. I am trying to set my HR20 and H20 to respond to different on/off commands. I have two remotes, one has been programmed and the other has not. I can't get my HR20 to respond to any commands after my mistake.
