Oh okay I completly understand now! :) An "F" number simply is how far the cat is from the Asian Leopard cat. (in generations)

My babies are F3 I believe....(Either F3 or F2) F3 is supposed to be the best generation because they have the more outgoing puursonality of a domestic cat (Asian Leopards are rather shy...) but the striking beauty and body shape of the Asian cat still.

What happens is as you go down to F5's and F6's they become more and more like a noraml cat - their body types change and they don't have as much "spunk" as a lower number does. (Another thing is that Bengals normally love water ... when you go down the line Bengals will not like it as much)

I know my cats were about $600 each but a friend of mine bought an F7 for around $200 ... theyre not worth as much either.

If youre looking to buy a bengal I could point you in the direction of a few good breeders, but they will still be rather costly. I don't know how much a Russian Blue goes for now... (I also adore them!! They're beautiful.) Honestly, the quality of cat depends on how much you want to spend.

I hope I answered your question correctly... you could always email me if you want more info :)

Take Care!!
