What a great show that was. I have the first season on DVD.
In my opinion, there's a long way to go after we land on the moon. The CEV is not a base in itself. And 2020 seems too far off. Although I thought it was 2019. 13 years is way too long. Where ever did the glory of the Space Age go?
I also don't like how they say the shuttle program will be "scrapped" in 2010. Was Mercury "scrapped." Gemini? Apollo? I don't think so. And they only had about 5 year life spans. Not the 25+ of the shuttle.
Seriously, we need to be moving forward in space exploration. It's taking way to long with such an underfunded NASA to make great progress.
Meanwhile, the STS-116 (Discovery) mission is set for a Thursday night launch.
