I've been in a couple good quakes over here in Seattle... My (2) cats started freaking out a couple minutes before our last big quake here... The whole ground moved like a big wave in slow motion for ABOUT 50 SECONDS. It was really weird... you are trying to stand there or sit there yet, are totally powerless against mother nature.
I watched furniture tip over, my 36 inch mits fell off a cabinet and exploded on the fireplace hearth, all kinds of cool stuff.
A very weird sensation isn't it? Glad you are O.K.
In Seattle we are on a major fault curve, and the science boys say we are going to have a major major quake here, but of course can't say when.
Sure didn't help our earthquake insurance rates after they announced that!
