Please help!

I want to buy the MX-1000 but I found out that it does not control x-10 stuff since x-10 is RF. However, I read an earlier message stating that I can purchase a "IR543" to convert IR to RF which will control my x-10 components.

Has anyone tried this with the mx-1000? (if so, please decribe), if not has anyone tried it with a SL9000/8000. If so, how did you input the codes into the remote??
