ok. that doesn't fix the problem but your helping me figure it out. The samsung is a home theater system and it doesn't seem to matter how long I hold the button on the source remote - it is always the same result. However, I tried learning the volume command for my panasonic TV and that seems to work fine so it would seem that you are right - it is a samsung issue - now... is there anything I can do about it?
