See how much trouble you had to go through to
replicate the
www.control-panel.us organizer ?
Destroyed your house, bought Velcro tape, got
the ruller, nife, and other stuff all to just
safe $20 ?
Dude, somebody stop you ! Plus, I don't know about
you but I change batteries in my remote controls
once every 2-3 years, unless ofcource I had to
spend 24/7 on my couch pushing the buttons on
the remotes looking for something interesting
on TV to fill my boring life (sounds familiar?)
Now you're just starting to be funny. :-)
No, seriously. Mocking the people you are trying to make into customers is a REALLY good idea.
FWIW, all my OEM remotes are safely stored without batteries in a cupboard in the immediate area of my HT system. The ONE MX-500 (which easily handles every single function of every single remote related to my large stack of equipment) sits on the coffee table and is never lost. Also, since the OEM remotes DIDN'T have all the buttons I needed, I borrowed another universal with advanced codes from another part of the house and taught the MX-500 the codes that I needed. Like Discrete Power Off, Eject for my VCR, etc.
(psst, a secret reason for using universal remotes: my kids broke my cheap universal; I haven't replaced it yet, so the MX-500 now covers 2 rooms worth of equipment although that's pushing a bit on its capabilities; I'll soon buy another $30 OFA to replace that busted one which now probably tastes like cranberry juice, just imagine if I had to replace all the $50-120 OEM remotes)
