Well they just got done trying to sell to me in Denver. At the Circuit city parking lot in Denver on Colorado Blvd. I knew it was a scam right away. They toured the Colorado campus in Boulder in '96 and hooked my roommate. They have been doing this a long time. I know good sound equip (I have some 800 series b&W) but I was curious though and made the guy take the speakers out so I could look at them. I feined ingnorance and dragged it out for 25 minutes. The guy was ready to blow at the end, but he kept at his ridiculous story. He kept getting in his SUV, then getting out, using his self made magazine. (The mag looks real "Video Picture" or something but I had never heard of it. It looked like borrowed articles from other magazines and all put together by kinko's on nice paper.) I got him down to 200, I might have even bought them for 100 and given them to a friend who doesn't know better as a gift. But I was afraid they wouldn't work. If you did get suckered, at least they look nice, and if they work, well its not all bad. I was almost tempted to buy them and dissect them to see how good or bad they really are. I am surprised they don't copy name brand products, or at least the magazine. But I guess it would be illeagal then, right now I think they are just trying to oversell a crappy product to people, but not necessarily against the law. Well if its any consolation to you guys I made them jump through hoops and dragged out the sale as long as possible then said no. He was nice, but I could tell he was pissed. Just sorry I didn't get their Texas plate numbers. Remember, if its too good to be true, it probably is.
