This new remote sounds very interesting. The Cinema 7 remote is great and I really like it, but I do not like it's cheap looks and the lack of backlighting (the 'glow-in-the-dark' keys are a joke). I would be willing to pay an extra $15 for this new remote if it has the exact same functionality as the Cinema 7.

Now that you have had a couple of days to play with it, can you:
1) Stack commands on the Power button to power on/off all of your components (macros on the Power button).
2) Use the same discreet codes as the Cinema 7
3) Learn on any button (not just the 4 learning buttons)

Also, at exactly which Radio Shack did you get your remote? I live in Indianapolis also and checked with the Radio Shack in Carmel. They didn't have it in stock and supposedly checked their computer and said that no other local Radio Shacks have it either.
