Hi all,

I am really having trouble here!

I bought a USB Bluetooth+IRDA Adapter and am trying to utilise the IRDA with a remote control I have also purchased.

I don't know where to start to be honest, I've searched around and around.

I can send a file via my phone to the PC using the USB IRDA adapter.
However, what I want is to use the IRDA adapter to pick up/learn a remote control.

The remote control I have is a Philips SRU 9600, but I also have a sad Hauppauage remote control.

Surely I can use the USB IRDA adapter with a bit of software that can 'monitor' the IR transmissions (and thus use ANY remote control I currently own)?? I have found GIRDER, but I can't seem to get this to work, maybe because this is already expecting an input and just acts as a bridge between the IRDA and whatever controls I wish to pass it?

The USB IRDA adapter only came with a driver disc.

Is there anyone here that can help me or tell me I'm doing it very wrong or something?

Many thanks
