I am about to get my Samsung HLN4365W upgraded to accept discrete codes, and am wondering how to get them into my AV3000. The info I have seen posted from samsung shows "discrete codes" not advanced codes...these are "hex" I believe. I have done some research and thought that I could use a radio shack or OFA remote to learn my AV3000, but I`m not sure that those remotes will accept a hex code. I was hoping not to have to use my computer and this JP1 stuff..can anyone advise me what I will have to do..I will be spending a fair amount of money to get the upgrade done to the tv and if it is going to a pain in the a$$ to get the codes to work I may reconsider the upgrade... here is a link to the codes that samsung issued, just in case it will help you help me [Link: avsforum.com]
