I would love to see them open up the IP database for the MX-1400 or MX-4000 even if only 1 way. If most of your devices were IP you wouldn't need a base station. $800-$100 would still be pricey for just a remote for many customers.

I am sure they avoid the DIY market as they would need a ton more support people if they did.
